Alojas Biznesa Centrs Supports Seminar "Sustainable Development –Green Construction”

Riga, November 22, 2007 - international seminar for industry professionals “Sustainable Development –Green Building” was held at the Reval Hotel Latvija. The goal of the seminar was the promotion of cooperation among professionals and decision makers with regard to the development of sustainable construction in Latvia and Baltic States, finding solutions for optimal utilization of all kinds of energy for establishment of living spaces, which would be qualitative and amenable to health and the environment.

I will mention just a few facts – as many as possible elements of factory manufacture, demanding comparatively small energy consumption during the building process, are used for construction; no environment – unfriendly technologies and materials, such as PVC windows or materials containing formaldehydes, are applied; the building operates a venting system on separate user zones, thus avoiding over-cooling or over-heating of the air which otherwise creates unnecessary energy consumption; priming ground heat is used to maintain positive temperature in the basement car parking area, avoiding its outflow and simultaneously providing the chemical structure of the air in accordance with the sanitary requirements, etc.”, says Aleksandra Bocarnikova, Chairwoman of the Board, SIA Alojas Business Centre.
